If you told me a few years ago that a Netflix sci-fi series would turn its cast into global fashion icons, I’d probably not believe you.
But here we are!
The Stranger Things Season Five Premier Red Carpet wasn’t just your ordinary TV event. Instead, it turned out to be a full-blown fashion statement. And as someone who has been following this show since July 15, 2016, I could not stop replaying every entrance, every outfit, every subtle Hawkins easter egg stitched into the looks.
And what made this premiere special was not just the anticipation of the final season.
It was watching our my and everyone’s favourite characters, Eleven, Robin, Nancy, Steve, Dustin, Lucas and Max step onto the red carpet as polished stars while still carrying the soul of the series we grew up with.
In this blog, I will break down the most iconic red carpet moments from Millie Bobby Brown to Maya Hawke and more. Also, I will even talk about the Stranger Things Jackets that fans are already obsessed with.
Millie Bobby Brown AKA Eleven: From Hawkins Lab to Hollywood Royalty
Seeing everyone’s favourite Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, felt emotional. We first met her barefoot, with a shaved head and in an overused pink dress. But now we are seeing her in the structured, yet edgy ensemble that screams confidence.
Furthermore, Millie’s outfit blended retro silhouettes with modern tailoring, a clear nod to Eleven’s journey from vulnerability to power. Also, with structured hips and a layered tulle veil, she dazzled in this outfit.
Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke): Quirky, Cool, and Unapologetically Herself
If there is one person who stayed 100% true to their character energy, it was Robin Buckly aka Maya Hawke.
Her red carpet look was extremely playful, layered and slightly offbeat and that too in the best way possible. Moreover, her outfit wasn’t screaming for attention but it still dominated fashion conversations online.
I loved how relaxed tailoring looked, vintage it looked. Furthermore, the way the jacket was effortlessly thrown made the look so stunning. It even reminded me why Stranger Things Jackets have become a famous cult among fashion frenzies.
Nancy Wheeler Aka Natalia Dyer: Soft Power and Vintage Elegance
I am a huge Natalia Dyer fan. I love how she has always balanced intelligence with her style. And her premier outfit reflected exactly that.
Natalia chose a refined look with classic lines, muted colours and subtle drama. It was like no loud prints, no unnecessary extras. Just clean elegance, the one that grows on you the longer you look.
Furthermore, her choice of outerwear deserves special mention. The structured layer she wore fits right into the growing obsession with the Stranger Things outfits. Even the simple piece elevated the outfit.
Additionally, Nancy’s fashion has changed over the years and mirrors her character arc perfectly: from high-school journalist to fearless investigator.
Steve Harrington AKA Joe Keery: The King of Hair, Still Winning
Let’s be honest! Steve Harrington or our favourite Joe Keery could wear anything and fans (Me)would still lose it.
Even his hair looked flawless. (Like always).
Joe went for a tailored and vintage yet relaxed look, featuring a jacket that balanced 80s cool with the red carpet polish. While it wasn’t that flashy, it was still memorable and very Steve-like, the character he is playing in Stranger Things.
Moreover, what makes Steve’s style iconic is how approachable it feels. Moreover, his premiere look instantly sparked a conversation among fans on social media about the Stranger Things outfits, where they were seen comparing it to the bomber and varsity styles inspired by the show itself.
Dustin Henderson AKA Gaten Matarazzo: Playful Charm Done Right
Duston Henderson, AKA Gaten Matarazzo, has always been my favourite since 2016 because of his innocence and funny character.
As usual, he brought his signature warmth to the red carpet. Furthermore, his outfit leaned youthful and fun, with the subtle colour play and a casual jacket that felt very Dustin Coded. His charming style and dapper looks were the highlight of the night.
Even though his black suit pant wasn’t something out of the box, it still brought the old school charm. And the glasses?
They were the cherry on top.
Lucas Sinclair AKA Caleb McLaughlin: Confidence, Growth, and Statement Style
I have been following Lucas Sinclair, aka Caleb McLaughlin, since 2016, and his character arc does have impactful changes. If I talk about his red carpet look, then it was sharp, bold, and modern, featuring a standout jacket that instantly became a fan favourite.
His style reflected Luca’s emotional maturity in later seasons, which was strong, grounded and expressive. Once again, it was a reminder that the Stranger Things Premiere was nothing short of a fashion show where everyone dressed up as their character, one last time. Also, their looks are definitely becoming more than merch, they are the fashion statements.
Will Byers AKA Noah Schnapp: Quiet Strength, Emotional Style
You really thought I forgot about Will Byers, aka Noah Schanpp?
Well, you can’t talk about Stranger Things without Will Byers as he is the emotional heart of the series.
At the Season Five premiere red Carpet, Noah’s look was subtle yet deeply intentional, much like Will himself. Furthermore, he opted for a clean, minimalist outfit layered with a refined jacket. His smile is what stole the show.
Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink): Bold, Fearless, and Unforgettable
Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink, is another main character who absolutely deserves recognition.
Her red cape appearance was powerful for fans, especially given Max’s intense storyline in previous seasons. She wore a confident, edgy outfit with structured elements and rich textures that echoed her rebellious spirit.
Also, fans immediately connected her fashion to Max’s iconic tomboy aesthetic.
Mike Wheeler AKA Finn Wolfhard: Hawkins’ Heartthrob Goes Indie-Cool
Let’s be real! No Stranger Things premiere feels complete without Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard).
Watching Finn on the season five red carpet felt like seeing Mike finally step into adulthood. He embraced his signature inside-rock aesthetic. His overall look was quite relaxed. Moreover, the jacket he wore was quite vintage, oversized and effortlessly cool. Even his pants paid tribute to the Stranger Things theme.
Honestly, it is something only Mike can wear while biking through Hawkins.
